Claudia (41) and Maya (16) are mother and daughter. Their relationship has always been difficult, characterized by quarrels and arguments. When Maya decides to convert to Islam and has a child, she has to move to her grandmother Anna. Anna is a Christian. Both of them struggle to get along because their lifestyles are so different. While Claudia is trying to find her way after a difficult separation, Maya wants her mother and grandmother to accept her decision to convert to Islam. In order to become more independent, Maya wants to move into a mother-child home. The birth of Maya's daughter Djana seems to bring the three women closer together again, although their differences persist.
